The fact that he was a rapist is less important. The fact that he may (or may not) also be a pedophile is of no more importance than the color of his skin or the brand of his shoes.

If he wasn't a abductor, he wouldn't have abducted his victim. If he wasn't a murder he wouldn't have murdered his victim. He may have picked a young girl because that is his greatest sexual attraction. But just as likely he picked her because he knew she couldn't fight back as strongly as an adult.
