You exaggerate uncertainty. There is a stigma, but so was (and is) for gays and for interracial couples - so we can know. There is no sex, but you'd have to be pretty sex-centric you both for it to be such a game changer. There is her dependence, but that is not unlike women, all women, a couple centuries ago even in the West (though in this case you'd probably be better off measuring women's relationships outside marriage than in marriage). None of our predicaments is new. And after all, we (we MAAs) are probably already behaving as openly as we think we can without getting burned. You and I certainly are.
