Maybe I would take both, but not to the South Pole; wouldn't it be cruel to take little girls there? Of course the summertime there is not extremely bad, not necessarily worse than a cold winter in some northern parts of the world - but I am sure that it is not a place for little children.

Strange, yesterday I found a pic of a girl who is not cute in the least, not pretty or beautiful, but who still filled my heart with tenderness. I felt a rush of something like pity and tenderness, I felt that you should be very kind to that girl and protect her. Something in her humble, shy and maybe a little sad position, something in her expression, the way she is holding that fruit, her obvious poverty, the dirt on her dress and maybe on her cheeks. She is a South American Indian, maybe Peruvian, could be Bolivian or Columbian too.
