Hi Mark

You:
as with Stahntii's painting the majority of welfare recipients as undeserving leeches.

Me:
But when I said

"The government does not make it easy for people to be productive; truly productive. There are so many laws, taxes, insurances, special permits and licenses, general restrictions, which keep people from eg. - starting a business and being productive. And so what happens? They are forced to join the welfare parasites. It's almost like society is set up these days to encourage people to become a welfare parasite.",

this would mean that I realize people (even most people) who eventually end up on welfare are not parasitical to begin with; are not parasitical by nature. The government makes people that way. But it also doesn't change the fact that when a person who is not naturally a parasite gets sucked into the welfare system, they do ifact often become parasites. It's like a form of upbringing. The state is raising society to be, largely, parasites.

But I do agree with Baldur that if the state got out of the way, many (if not, most) on welfare would have a lot to offer society and would certainly be able to pull there own weight/provide for themselves. I do believe that wholely and firmly. I hope that much is realized.
