Yes, I had heard of the Westermarck Effect but I did't know its proper name. I suspect that missing the first year of my daughter's life laid the groundwork (as per Westermarck) for my being sexually attracted to her as she grew into my AoA. As for the "ick factor", I never have felt it. I DO feel it when it comes to my sister (whom I am not biologically related to.) I grew up with her but have zero sexual feelings towards her.

As for violence, it is quite antithetical to me. One of the reasons my previous mate left me was that she wanted rough and violent sex. This is something I cannot do. I could not even pretend to be that way.

Because of my lengthy stay in one the state's posh hotels, I have come to know several people who had been physically violent to a little girl. I kept my distance from them but I did hear their stories. Even here, on the outside, there have been several people snatch a little girl from the street and kill her. There were lots of gory details in the news media in each of the cases. I can assure you, it sickens me to no end.
