I am active in animal protection / animal rights spheres.

Personally, I see many parallels between zoophile and pedophile issues. And being active where I am active, I realize how assumptions of non-competence are key to both a species hierarchy denying of animal rights and an ageist hierarchy denying of youth rights. I also see parallels with how many otherwise comrades in animal rights causes cannot seem to understand the issue of zoophilia in "ask the animal" terms that they would use in most other contexts... Same as any human anti doesn't ask the child, or only cars for the answer fitting already made narratives.
