I recognize that RIM has been able to keep the lead among underage and / or business sectors in some markets or regions. However, it is clearly declining overall. In spite of its young sector, it has not been able to give it an app laden environment the way Apple (and even Android) has. Both sectors were incensed about the worldwide service failure of a couple months ago, and its tablet is olnly selling discounted... If only another OS gets to replicate the wonders of the BB PIN, (natively, not by third party apps) it will spell the end. RIM has a lot of potential still, but it is a ship without a captain at the moment. And tech companies, same as they rise fast, can sink fast (joys of a more free market than usual). I think it won't be long before someone (probably Microsoft?) attempts a buyout in order to acquire the OS, the handset portfolio and the customer base, whatever fidelity remains.

And personally, though I don't like much the company feel of RIM, I would not be happy that a strong player went down...

But, that would make the censorship irrelevant...
