It's not just about the sexual abuse, it's about the whole split-up of the family. The mother did the wrong thing and is now in jail, but that doesn't change the fact that she was their mother and now she's in jail. Even though the kids are out of the abusive situation their whole life gets changed. They've lost their main caregiver, and the five year old probably won't even understand exactly what's going on. I think the whole thing is sad.

And yes, hopefully if the Aunt and Uncle take good care of them and make sure they're okay they should be alright. It's still messed up though.
