.. just wanted to comment some on this, although alant has gave ya the reason why. Yes, I finally got check.torproject.org/ to connect, as I came to find out.. after reading Tor Projects' latest blog post that Tor's website hosting provider was under attack. But website outages... are fixed now (2011-12-21 20:06 (GMT-5).
