I wasn't aware that I thought anyone here was an anti-Semite.

You have accused several of us of that for pointing out the Jewish overrepresentation in banking, media and the legal profession. And for statements that you have interpreted as pro-fascist / pro-Nazi, or pro-Iran.

As far as I'm concerned, religions have a right to exist, providing they don't trample on the rights of others.

But Israel was not founded on that! Israel was founded on preserving the Jewish "genetic line" and the Jewish special identity, which is based on the religion - all the more so when you understand the differences between the Jews of different countries and regions pre-1933. It presumes, from the start, a special status for the practice of Judaism. You have all the right to disagree, of course; but not to deny that changing that would threaten the Jewish character of the State of Israel. Which is not a small thing - it is an explicit prerequisite Israel puts to negotiations with Arabs. Do you think it would be a prerequisite if it wasn't important? Do you think Palestinians would reject it if it wasn't important (they reject it, even the most moderate)?

It might be different if these girls had a choice of where to live, but they don't. They are dragged by their parents wherever.

That distracts. They are dragged by the parents, true - but the parents know (or at least should know) where they are moving to. And yet it is the parents who are raising the complaints to media and public opinion. It does absolve the girls, but not the parents.
