I know it's your position, but it still sounds like a 21st-Century-language version of being a White Male Landowner.

My approach is to recognize others' rights first, without asking them to fulfill my conditions, and then defend mine from intrusion if need be.

Of course, this approach has the advantage of also being able to include animals. But even without that advantage...
