I actually wondered why this argument hadn't come sooner. I seriously expected Markaba to raise it.

Answer: Fundamentalist Christians talk a lot, but have lost every battle. Schools are banned from teaching the Bible (and I don't mean evolution vs creation, I mean you can't even teach it as a historical document); abortion is legal and will remain legal for the foreseeable future; gay marriage is legal in some states and the number will only increase despite occasional setbacks as in California.

In essence, paedophilia (including both contact and child pornography) is the only issue where Fundamentalist Christians are winning; and they wouldn't be winning if they didn't have the Feminists to push the issue from the left as they do from the right.

Point is, so what? Fundamentalist Christians are everywhere in the USA - and losing every fight they pick!

It wouldn't be different in Israel with their own version.
