I don't use tor either (and see no reason why)to access GC, tried it but discarded it for the same reason:-)
You will find a variety of people at this board, the classic stereotype of a pedophile who is only interested in engaging in sexual relationships with children will be a hard find though, so I think you will feel comfortable here very soon.
