Then you weren't watching the right programming.

If you wanted Rock, there was the option of PBS's "Coldplay New Year's Eve." Oh, wait. I said "rock." ;p

Then there was the "Pequeños Gigantes" marathon where you could watch some cute 9 year olds singing Ranchera. Oh, wait. You wanted to avoid "country."
