Legislators disappointed child not raped

But they are still hoping! Even if they never find any evidence that Aliahna was sexually assaulted before being murdered it probably won't matter, they'll blame pedophiles anyway. That's basically what happened in the Adam Walsh case. There was never any evidence that Adam was raped or that the crime was sexually motivated, but it still got blamed on pedophiles. They closed the case saying Ottis Toole did it without any evidence. Toole wasn't even a pedophile (he never sexually assaulted a child unless you count Adam Walsh) but they made that up too and said he was one anyway.

So regardless of what they find out, they'll blame it on pedophiles and pass a new law.
