Sure, like you said; It could be a sign of genuine surprise to what he found (and I don't doubt that's what it was), But wasn't it kind of wreckless to post that here?

I realize he didn't officially break any rules, but maybe you could offer him some advice on how to be careful of the many ways words can be taken and used. He should probably be much more mindful of that, and should doublecheck his writings before pressing post.

There was a time when, even for myself, doublechecking my writings before pressing post caused me some trouble. But unlike AhNasty, I never enticed readers to google posters let alone joked about what would be found of them. That is something I feel, is walking a fine line on rule four. And I think he needs to be advised by you or another mod.
