They shouldn't have kids then if they aren't prepared. Even if something unexpected happens (death of one parent) sending them to an institution that is going to ruin them is a horrible idea.

So we should hide what we do from our kids? Swearing is fine and many litte girls I know swear. Why should I care? Violent video games? If you saw my last GM I played Modern Warfare 3 with my little girlfriend on my lap. She's fine. Getting drunk? As long as the parent doesn't do anything stupid and hell kids can try some alcohol if they want... only a little.
