You start by talking about the physical manifestation of biology... how the presence or absence of the Y chromosome cause one to appear physically as a male or a female.

But just as the brain can be configured to cause someone to be attracted to the opposite gender, or to the same gender, or to very young persons of the same or opposite gender, I believe the brain can be configured to cause a person to believe that they are a gender other than what the presence or absence of the Y chromosome dictates.
