It is interesting to note that whenever I read your nick Griffith I though of a Griffin which is, according to wikipedia:

a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle.

Quite grandiose but obviously that wasn't your intention when registering the nick I would think.

Analyzing the etymology of Griffith though reveals, according to wikipedia,

a surname of Welsh origin which derives from the given name Gruffudd. The prefix Griff (originally Gruff) may mean "strong grip" and the suffix, udd, means "chief"/"lord".

A change of heart perhaps? No, while the nick may be grandiose it does not imply some type of white knight type character like Braveheart does.
