That's why I said "almost."

And most people who are feeling suicidal are not among the level-headed few who can see their case objectively and have considered all possibilities.

And yet, since he mentioned jumping....

A study of everyone who survived the leap from the Golden Gate bridge showed only 1 repeat among many jumpers. and when asked what they were thinking on their way down, to a person, the jumpers were realizing how stupid their decision to jump had been.
