You are certainly correct that humans are dependent upon each other. It is this dependence and synergy that has helped the species survive and flourish.

My message is that the first point of control is within yourself. One can look to draw support from surroundings, or to change the context in a way that is beneficial - but if one hasn't found a certain measure of stability and reliability from within, this job is much more difficult to achieve.
