My $.02

I kind of agree. I found it a little awkward steering away from the 'serious issue' at hand in order to discuss grammar, but that's what I was responding to, so I stuck to that.

For Hypersonic, my 2 cents on the serious issue being discussed is this: Suicide is never the best option, no matter how insurmountable a problem may seem. As long as you are physically healthy, you are capable of finding things to enjoy and live for. Seriously, simply waking up in the morning to a beautiful sunset is proof that there are things in life so much bigger than us and our problems. If you are mentally unhealthy, be it depression or whatever, there are places you can go, people you can talk to. GC is such a place, but you have to be willing to discuss your issues. You seem unwilling to do this, instead demanding everybody accept what you say at face value. Please, feel free to open up to us; nobody can help you if you aren't willing to discuss it.

An as far as your family issues, it sucks, but it's a fact of our society that what we are is not generally well received by others. This is why it's generally not advised to 'come out' unless you are certain you are prepared for the response. It may seem important that your family accept you for who you are, but there is often nothing to gain and everything to lose in revealing yourself in this way. I am still 'in the closet', as it were, to my family, even though my wife has reasons to be 'suspicious' of me. I've never outright told her about myself, and have every reason to believe it would end very badly. You're asking your mother to accept a lot when she's been trained her whole life to believe what you told her is wrong. Cut her some slack, and maybe she'll be able to get over her issues. It may help to change her opinion to see that you are not the type of person the media paints us as.

Anyway, please think long and hard about this before you take an action that cannot be reversed.
