...I was just about to ask you specifically on the board if you ever heard of "boyfriend" as a verb, or its alternate form "boyfriending," before, since I likewise never heard it before seeing redcocoa use it just a few minutes ago in at least two different posts, and I don't lead a sheltered life by any stretch of the imagination! I was a bit hesitant to do so at first, because I was worried you would tell me that it's been in common usage "all over the place" for the past 20 years and that I must have spent that time living in a Siberian cave, which would have forced me to respond with a terse disagreement, because I am very up on popular slang, particularly chick-friendly slang, as it's an area of great interest to me (you know how excited I get every time I learn a new one!). But, much to my relief, when I clicked on this message to ask you, I found out that you (to your credit) admitted that you, also, never heard it before redcocoa used it on the board today, so I now feel better for not hearing it before myself, and realize I'm in good company here! It may be a new usage of slang!

And, I can now also once again agree with you that this new usage of the term in verb form is indeed NEAT! :-) I am certainly going to start using it regularly now, and I hope it catches on all over the place. I will be looking for it to appear in the scripts of the various chick-friendly TV shows and movies I watch, and when I finally do see it, I will be sure to report it to the board with much excitement and aplomb! Count on it! :-)
