Re: Redcocoa, you NEED to LISTEN

A little story for Redcocoa.

Quite a few years ago there was a post on Boy Chat, this was before GC existed.

One of the posters met someone on BC that they hit it off with and befriended. They chatted on BC countless times. Then it went to e-mail. Finally to phone calls.

After about a year of this or so they decided to meet. The BC regular was very excited to meet a fellow CLer. They even met in a public place for the first time just to be safe, everything seemed just great.

Well, they did meet at a restaurant. But it wasn't what was expected. The devious lying poster from BC brought along a news team and outed the unlucky guy. It was an anti trying to ruin lives and they succeeded.

Would AhNasty do this? Perhaps, apparently he already has given personal information to our anti friends.

In conclusion. Never give out any personal information to anyone on message boards such as this one. If you have e-mail correspondence with someone they should be a trusted long term member. Even then you must be careful. After all you are dealing with your own life.
