i get what your saying but i think it is trying to say that you always have a choice in any situation of how you will react to things...

sure, just because you are nice to someone they are not necessarily going to be nice back...but again in that very situation you could let someones negative reaction affect your life or let it roll off and move on...

and i do agree with the quote that positive thinking and actions can cause a chain reaction of positive events. again, if you react to things in a negative way...say throw your hands up in a situation when things don't go your way, get mad and lose your attitude in the midst of all that you could have been so upset that you miss out on some shining part of it that actually presented a positive opportunity.

i know i'm being very general right now i just feel like in my life through positive thoughts and truly believing that i deserve happiness i have always found it.

now don't get me wrong...i am poor, un-educated(in a traditional sense anyways), mentally and physically abused as a child, have made many mistakes, squandered many opportunities etc....yet i have always found a way to dust myself off, keep moving and stay positive which has allowed amazing things to happen in my life....like spending time with lg's, having lgf's, babysitting, working at jobs that have put me in contact with girls and now i'm dating a gl'er and we have a child on the way...which just might be a girl!!

anyways, i just feel i have been through so much in my life that i was forced to either kill myself because of the pain or simply forget about ti and move on....
