I don't think it will take that long

We are now experiencing more change in a year than the years before that. The growth of technology is exponential. If everything keeps progressing at this rate, the way of life 50 years from now may be dramatically different than it is right now. It's quite difficult to imagine what the future will be like. Hopefully we will be able to overcome most of these problems, and hopefully a lot more stupid beliefs will die off by then.
