They are brave and strong, which gives the impression that they choose their own path, and will do what they feel is best for themselves without feeling compelled to listen to what society tells them they should or shouldn't want. They are never easy victims of anyone. I would have loved to have taken Hit Girl out on a date and had a very nice and beautiful romance with her. I would be worried about her evening activities as a super-hero, of course, but if Mary Jane Watson had to deal with it when she was dating Peter Parker (she was never married to him now, remember?), I'm sure I could, also.
