Not lost cause, but not as realistic as he claims

Essentially, he is asking hypotheticals about a world that neither he, nor I, nor anyone else currently alive in the world, is going to witness. As far as I am concerned, his question makes as much sense as "If a newborn is put on a galactic cruiser and travels around, so that when she returns to earth, 200 earth years have passed, but on the galactic cruiser, which is the time she experiences, she is only 3yo - do you think she should be treated as a 200 year adult or as a 3 year minor?" In itself, "philosophically", that's not a bad question, but none of us is going to be there to answer it, and it is somewhat of a waste of glucose, imho, to speculate about problems that we do know we will not ever face. And yep, not very "realistic" either. Yes, our descendants will have those issues - but so far down the road that, really, they will have enough time to figure them out without our help. Meanwhile, present children and present MAAs need us to figure out their/our today which they experience everyday and call "life". That would be realistic.
