What every little girl deserves.

(Every child deserves what I am going to describe, I'd even say most adults... because the bad ones were likely children who did not receive what they deserved as children)

Little girls deserve love. They deserve someone with whom they can share stories with. Someone they can trust.

They deserve someone who cares about them. This care is not based on how well they do in school or how well they obey commands. It is a care that is mutual. A care that fills the heart.

I feel sad. There are little girls who have non of this. Little girls that people take advantage of in many ways. I feel sad for those girls and if I let it that sadness would consume me. I don't though. There will always be little girls who have bad luck. They were born into poverty and sold to rapists. They were beat my a heartless mother. They wandered into the road without a care only to meet a car.

There are things I cannot change and things I can change. Learning how to accept the things I could not change was difficult but I did it. For the little girls whose lives I can make better.

I can be the one that gives them love. I can be the one to share stories with them. I can be the one they can trust with their lives. Their trust is not misplaced.
