Easy answer. Listen to them.

Every child who has someone taking advantage of them (sexually or otherwise), could have five more people who genuinely care about that child's wellbeing. Don't restrict consensual sexual practices so that the child won't be afraid to talk about it, and then whenever the child feels uncomfortable, s/he will have recourse to a responsible adult who can then step in and protect that child - not from the things s/he wants, but the things s/he doesn't want.
