Anyway, this idea that this is not a parental issue is exactly the attitude that turns parents against us.

Then you didn't understand what summerdays was trying to say.

He is clearly saying that parents are being forced by the state to raise their children, in sexual matters, not according to their own criterion, but according to the state's diktat.

This is obvious. And I think you don't see that because you disagree with the consequence. But while I disagree with the consequence too, I can see that's a tenable position and I can see how it can convince parents. Sincere, well meaning and open minded parents.

(probably more so now than I did two days ago after Dissident's bullshit--he's a manipulative ass who tried to turn this community against me by calling them stupid if they agreed with me. At the very least he just reinforced the view that most people have of MAPs being manipulative.)

If Dissident's manipulation works, where are all the other Marxists?

Dude, in case you haven't noticed, parents ARE society. You cannot the two concepts that easily.

Do you really want me to throw at you news about children taken away from parents for no good reason; or are you only playing naive?

Secondly, deep down, you and I both know that the reason people here get so irritated at the very suggestion that MAPs do not always have pure motives is because there is some truth in it. Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying that describes you or anyone specifically, but yes, I do think there are some liars on this board who only say they support youth lib because they want to have sex with young girls. Their entire worldview is wrapped around this desire.

No, it is irritating because it is, essentially, an ad hominem. It is not criticizing any idea, but the messenger behind the idea.

And no matter how many times you say it (and even if you really believe it in your mind): "I am not talking about you" stops sounding true the 826th time you read it.

"I am not talking about you, David, but this whole idea of equal rights for Jews..."

Do you think there are so many minarchists and anarchists here out of coincidence?

All oppressed groups in history are forced to re-invent politics because the mainstream doesn't want anything to do with them. Nothing sinister about that. There is no conspiracy in that Marx, Goldman, Trotsky, were Jews - but go ahead, go find yourself in good company if so you want. And save yourself the task of criticizing the ideas by criticizing the conspiracy.

The truth is, some of these guys--probably not most of them, but certainly a few of them--came to their philosophy because it best served their sexual desires.

No, what best would serve their sexual desires would be to pull a Foley: sell out your own and become powerful enough through it that you can get your own forbidden fruits.

They want to reject the very idea that there could be anyone here with less than noble intentions saying the same things they're saying.

I do not reject the idea. It's no different to the idea there are hidden antis / cops posting. What I reject is that you repeat it over and over; without proof from GC history, and without accusations to the current GC lineup. Stahntii, AhNasty and Justincredible just came from an accusation round about who was real; sure you can do the same instead of trying to play Jesus in the Last Supper "is it me, Rabbi?"
