From the mouths of babes...

Children have always taught me far more than I can ever know how to teach them.

Whilst we scrap amongst ourselves, fighting over what should be everyone's to share, without hurt to the other because there is enough to go round twice, people like this young girl show us just how blind and foolish we are. We would be wise to listen, and act on it.

Poverty can be resolved. Hunger can be fed. Ignorance can be taught the way forward to learning, and want can be satisfied. And, the blind can be made to see.

We crow about how far we have come. But, we've not come further than the center of the circle we claim to have made.

The young girl in that video has said it all, quite eloquently, quite properly. We do not need the things that we think we do - they are a distraction from our real business of properly living, enjoying life in a way that we, at the moment, cannot fully appreciate, because we are blinded by the material.

We are blinded to the proper reality, and we impoverish ourselves. I want to live in the world of this young girl, to exist in the happiness of sharing with others.

The message that the enlightened girl has given brings me to mind of Pink Floyd's 'Money', and also Yusef Islam's 'Where Do The Children Play?'.

We don't need this material junk that we are always chasing after. All of that just makes the log in our eye...
