Possession of obscene material?

"A driver's license check showed the driver was wanted on a Washington state warrant for possession of obscene material."

With what passes as "child sexual abuse images" AKA Child Porn. What would obscene material be?

Very odd news report. I could have sworn anything considered obscene material would be reported as child sexual abuse images.
