That isn't the point. In principle, I have it clear that there already were rivals to MegaUpload, same as in principle there are rivals to Google and Facebook, or for that matter Windows and Apple.
The point is that it is worrying that a site can be taken down and its owners indicted (and Interpol intervening, meaning that any accused faces arrest in most of the world) on the basis of content available there that wasn't even put there by the owners, and regardless of how many other users are affected. That is dangerous to a free society, period! (and a form of censorship)
