I went to the library...

...and borrowed ten books. Every book was worth 30 dollars.

I did the same last month.

And the month before it.

And the month before it.

And so on.

I have done the same every month during the last 10 years.

Ten years, 120 months, every month a pile of books worth 360 dollars - all in all 43,200 dollars.

Jesus, I have stolen 43,200 dollars from authors! If libraries did not exist, I would have bought all these books and the authors would be 43,200 dollars richer.

Or would they? Hmm hmm... Let me think. I would have done something much better with that 43,200 dollars. I would have travelled to XXX and YYY and ZZZ, I wouldn't have bought any stinking book, even though I am a bookish person.

Libraries must be closed.

(Well, I have bought a few novels and lots of dictionaries.)
