...this post, and the one I received from Markaba in Part 1 of my essay, were the only two productive responses I got so far, certainly when compared to a typical and very personal attack from Trucker that served no beneficial purpose at all, a typical anti-label diatribe from Furcifer that I pre-rebutted in Part 1 of my essay, and a total "miss the point of the thread" set of missives from FreeThinkerGL who decided to pick that time to vent with me about something that has been on his mind for who knows how long, so I again thank you and Markie for your positive participation here. Thank you also for agreeing this subject is important, because I certainly wouldn't put so much effort and research into it if I didn't think it was worth the time to do so (as some people feel), and of positive benefit to both our community and the youth community.

Yes, this subject can be boring to many, as you noted, which will certainly limit the number of people who participate in it, though I do hope to encourage more people to get involved and to do more than simply shoot down any suggestions made or give the typical anti-label spiels.

I'm glad you like the prefix "meizon," though this is an aesthetic appreciation, the opposite number of those who may refuse to use a term simply because they don't like how it sounds to them from an aesthetic viewpoint. But I do think the term is accurate based on what I have read, and if enough people who read these threads who are not of a solely antagonistic or anti-label bent agree to the utility of the usage, then we may indeed be able to adopt and gradually popularize it. Just prepare some people to say, "Well, isn't my refusal to use the 'meizon' prefix because I think it's stupid every bit as valid as AK's endorsement of it due to the fact that he thinks it sounds cool?"

My response to such individuals would/will be: Let's please try to judge a prefix based on two important factors: 1) Is it accurate according to the Greek language? and 2) Is it 'user-friendly' in the sense that it's relatively easy for English speakers to remember and spell? If it fits those two criteria, and you happen to think it sounds cool from an aesthetic standpoint, then that's a great fringe benefit :-) But if you agree it fits those criteria but denounce its usage simply because you think it sounds lame or laughable for aesthetic reasons alone, then that's not quite the same thing.
