Hello Dissident. As you know, I once coined the term "teleiophile" myself, without knowing that someone else had already created it before -- well, "teleio" is the only possibility in Greek, so it is no wonder that two different persons came to the same conclusion.

I said this to Hypersonic:

You also know that this subject or yours has been discussed here before and I have participated in those discussions. All kinds of existing terms have been suggested, such as chronophile, but no one has liked them, because they are not accurate.

Now you are asking something more difficult. The term you are after has the meaning "child teleiophile" or "teen teleiophile" or also... hm, a young adult who likes significantly older persons who are not elderly yet.

So it should combine "kid/teen" + "teleio" + "phile". Not very easy!

Maybe such a term exists in Greek, maybe not. If it does not exist, we are out of luck.

Creating it would require Liddell-Scott's large dictionary again, and correspondence with linguists who specialize in Greek.

I understand perfectly why you think that the word should be derived from Greek, not any modern language. It is the only possibility if we want that the word is taken as seriously as homosexual, teleiophile, pedophile, etc.

Well, I promise to consider the matter, but I need my morning coffee first.

I have read only your message and Hypersonic's message so far, now I read the rest - but I won't take part in any dispute.

Griffith
