Fuck me sideways

All I can say is, at least he didn't kill them. That's small consolation, given what he did put them through. Ugh! I know, I know, I have asked others not to post stuff like this here, but the reason I'm posting this is, I want to know how this shit went on for so long without anyone intervening? All the neighbors complained, SS visited many times but did nothing. See, this is why I don't buy the argument that SS always oversteps its bounds. In some cases it does little to nothing despite several red flags. Social Services is not a monolith with single-minded goals; it consists of people, and people fuck up in all kinds of ways. Some go overboard and others--particularly the so-called "family values" a-holes--will do anything to keep families together.
