There are some situations where, if the parents are abusive, there can only be so much done in our current society. In my opinion this is NOT one of those situations.

Physical abuse, rape, molestation, mental abuse, emotional abuse... everything these poor kids had to suffer.

This is one of the reasons I'd like to see youth given more respect and power in their lives. Granted that can only do so much against severely abusive care takers. If society makes clear that children can find new caretakers it might make abusive parenting less frequent.
