In regards to Nixon's comments, I don't think she is 'gay by choice'. I think at most she is bisexual and 'chooses' women as opposed to men. I could not 'choose' to be gay; I am not sexually attracted to males, and no amount of conscious 'choosing' on my part could make it so. I am attracted to females, with a preference in the preteen range. I did not choose this, nor would I have in this society.
