but didn't feel the need to interrupt your party with Trucker.
But it was okay to interrupt it with a nitpicky strike at me, rather than an obviously insulting post of his? Gotcha, thank you for clarifying.
Still not sure if I fully understand you, but think you mean that for instance the situation of a 30 yo woman who is interested in man in their fifties is not covered by the present terms.
This is what I mean, in a nutshell: a term for a younger person--either underage or of legal age--who routinely display a preferential attraction to significantly older people, often of parental age to them but not necessarily elderly--is clearly not covered by "teleiophile," which simply means attraction to "adults," the latter being a term that has a strong legal connotation to it, and which we have often used (usually on the side of legal adults, I admit) who prefer members of the same age demographic, which the word "adults" covers very broadly (for instance, using the term "adult" in a biological but not legal context, young adolescents can be considered "adults"). But yes, the example you cited above is basically correct.
Haven't read the whole thread so maybe it was mentioned before: Chronophilia could cover it at least partly (although it's still referring to a specific age range).
Griffith mentioned why he now thinks "chronophile" is not good for this purpose elsewhere in this thread.
This thread is too long, my eyes are getting painful..[.]
