It's possible for a conservative to be concerned with civil rights, of course, especially when faced with this type of insanity--but we do have to consider their civil rights record on the whole, and more often than not, it isn't good. Then again, when it comes to this specific issue, liberals and progressives tend to have a poor record too, so this judge in particular deserves to be commended.
