'Squishin' Frogs'
Posted by Dante on 2012-January-30 06:56:22 EST, MondayThe other day at work a very direct 11 year old who was with her mother asked me some product questions. Methinks that Mom is doing a very good job of raising a child whose expectation of being treated as a peer and a person will serve her well ( and at the very least keep the patronizing on their toes. )
She looked like a cross between Sammi Hanratty and Annasophia Robb. And it was delightful being able to inform her and look directly into her blue eyes.
Later, as I was crossing the street near a park, I saw a little olive skinned 4 year old with a headfull of long black curly hair. She was being pushed in a stroller and had her legs tucked-up and arms outstretched. As she passed by I heard her musically singing something about "squishin' frogs."
Now possibly this little princess was singing about "kissin' frogs," but I'm pretty sure that my hearing was accurate and that there's a little tomboy fondness for the gross-out in her sing-song.
