America has historically championed the oppressed, and if you knew Scottish history, particularly the true story of how certain nobles were bought off to ensure the Union, you would also realize how the common people suffered by this wholesale treachery at the upper levels of society.

Or do you deny what the Scots themselves refer to as "the selling of our nation"?
