Let's write the screenplay!

Just this morning, in fact, I was thinking about drafting a screenplay for such a film.

I am on the fence over whether it should involve a teacher/student thing or a sibling thing (either she's got a friend with an older brother, or her older brother has a friend).

I could see the film being comedic, yet ending in somewhat of an open-ended / inconclusive fashion. The story could paint in some of the realism of how today's society acts with some of the idealism of our imagined future.

One possibility that stops short of a full-fledged film is to simply publish it play-style with illustrations. We've got folks here like you (you draw, yes?) and Markaba who could sketch some of the key scenes or moments. Other folks might be willing to write an original number or two for the soundtrack, or at least select music that would be fitting.

The great thing about the information era is that it is possible to publish something and disseminate it widely without spending anything more than whatever it costs to have internet access.

So let me know if you are up for a collaborative project like this. I'll perhaps give it some more thought and make another post to recruit!
