Exactly. You cannot alienate everyone in your life who has issues with your sexuality and expect to get anywhere. Personally I think this 'anti' stuff is a cover for something much more deep-seated here, something that's been brewing for a long time and encompasses much more than his being minor-attracted.

The alternative is that he went from loving his mom to hating her at the drop of a hat over a single issue. If that's the case, he has bigger problems than an anti mom. No one places that much importance on one facet of who they are and alienates friends and/or relatives because of it unless that "facet" is all they are.
