Good points, Gim.
Concerning the NatGeo whale/seal story: Could it be that the killer whales were only interested in teaching the seals a lesson, such as, eg., "Stay off our turf!", or "Stop eating our food!", or "Stop doing this or that!", in essence saying "Stop threatening the comfortable state of our existence!"? I wonder if the whales did what they did because the seals were making them feel threatened somehow, and they wanted to send a message to them; a message that the seals could carry back to the rest of the seal population.
It's just a thought that occurred to me. I really dunno if this is more likely the case than the torture-for-fun theory that NatGeo proposed. Or maybe the whales were just working out/exercising, kinda like humans do in the gym.
Who knows. But I love the movie "Orca".
I'm gonna go and give Predator a response now.
