Family is one thing, that's forever. I wish this were true. Since my parents found out about me years ago they didn't outright try and prevent me from spending a bit of time with my little cousin. And now apparently because of that, if my extended family ever found out they knew and let me be around her, then according to my parents they'd all disown me AND them. Extremly harsh as I've been a kind and caring person with my whole family my entire life, maybe a little bit quiet and distant, but it's amazing how I'd suddenly be viewed as so dangerous. Sorry, just venting, as I guess I don't get to express this frustration to very many people as my parents seem to feel my family would have every right to react in such a way. |
