Since returning from my long absense, I've really been thinking a lot about chaning my name here. I'd like to get some opinions.

First, the obvious question: What would BB change his name to? I was thinking of going along with the whole "CL as vampire" thing I posted about   https://www.annabelleigh.net/messages/553620.htm   before. Along those lines, I was thinking of registering 2 new accounts under the names "Alucard" and "The Vampire Alucard." Anime fans will get the reference. For those who don't, it's "Dracula" spelled backwards and was the name of the main character in a well-known anime series concerning vampires.

Second, the next most obvious question: Why? Well, when I first registered here, I really didn't have an online identity the way most people (including myself) do these days. The name BB was derived from a childhood nickname and that nick was the only one I'd ever really had in my life. Sometimes I really feel like "BB" is kinda stupid. It's like if you still have an old email account that you made when you were a kid like "kewlrockinhotdude1997" or some shit like that, you just don't really wanna use that account because you feel stupid for ever having named it that.

Alas, the problem is that I'm coming up on my 10th anniversary with this community and for an entire decade I've been known here as "BB" and nothing else. Well, I do have an alt account, but I never freakin' use it, lol. My whole identity in this community is as BB. And really, I worry that I'd go through all the trouble of changing my name and then just say "fuck it" and keep posting as "BB."

I've been mulling this over for a while and the recent thread started by LGL40 got me thinking on it some more. "Alucard" is a much more common search term due to the popularity of the anime. I suppose "BB" is pretty common considering the many searches people must make for the tiny Ball Bearing ammunition known as "BBs."

I don't know. This probably seems like a small thing to many of you, but it's worrying me half to death! So, I'd like to get some opinions on the matter.
