That then is sufficient to define the situation? That the issue is far more complex and as shown by numerous cases, that children can actually enjoy the emotional closeness and physical sensations of sexual activity but feel deep unease about what they are doing and to realise later a different perspective. And no, it is not necessarily all down to how society views such relationships, many people do see a different truth about these situations than at the time because they have greater understanding later. Similarly the desire to re-enact such experiences is not sufficient justification as to the correctness for doing so if it contributes to further psychological or emotional damage or simply stops any feelings of closure.

I will agree that advice from such quarters is probably second-class, although I would have liked some personal one-to-one with PS when she was a lot younger!
